April 14th, 2015 marks the ten year anniversary of Emerging Insurance Professionals. In April 2005, Kelley Bernal, Candice Wong, and Warren Weed brought a homemade poster board to Point Moorea (in the former Wilshire Grand Hotel) to host the first event for "Emerging Insurance Professionals of Southern California.". Since this time, EIP has grown to span three chapters (LA, OC, and SF) with thousands of members representing all aspects of the insurance industry. and has become a cornerstone organization for insurance networking events throughout California.
In celebration of this milestone, EIP LA will be hosting a 10 year anniversary party at Casey's Irish Pub in Downtown Los Angeles on Thursday, May 7th from 4-7pm. No charge for admission, appetizers will be provided with a full cash bar available.

The Southern California chapters of EIP joined together once again to host a very spooky EIP Harbor cruise through the Long Beach Harbor. Over 100 attendees, a bus full of Insurance Professionals, and some amazingly creative costumes meant a great time for all! Thanks to all who came out to support EIP.
EIP LA will be taking a hiatus for the remainder of 2014, but getting back together during the first part of 2015 for our Annual Winter Networking Event. In the meantime, check out EIP OC's Casino Night tomorrow night at the Regency Theatre in San Juan Capistrano.
Every year, the Center for Insurance Studies at Cal State Fullerton puts on "I-Day" for current students to meet with prospective employers in the insurance industry and attend presentations from industry leaders. EIP has participated for a number of years in encouraging young people to consider a career in the insurance industry. We meet with students, answer questions, share with them our insights, and encourage them to join our organization after graduation.
This year was another smashing success!
